Inspiration

Working where the arts, technology and design meet

As a self-titled 'modern-day blacksmith', I’ve followed my namesake to use my environment around me to generate new ideas. Sparked by my own dad's ability to turn his hand to all kinds of machinery and technology, and my mum's tireless work ethic and perfectionism. My upbringing goes a long way to explain my enthusiasm.

A childhood spent between the Spanish coasts and the Essex Riveria, three years earning my stripes in Wales' 'ugly lovely' town and four years experience both living and working in the big smoke (with a mixture of different cultures in-between) I've gained life experience that influences both my profession and my life.

An ever-present desire to learn and craft where technology, the arts and sciences crossover and striving to produce practical, aesthetical and delightful experiences that add value.

BMW

BMW and Allianz have a long-running partnership in the insurance services market. BMW wanted to develop their portfolio to offer more products, that provided a comprehensive set of cover for BMW drivers beyond car insurance or breakdown cover.

npower

npower formed a partnership with Allianz in 2017 to sell home emergency insurances to their customers through the winter period as a way to add to their all-encompassing home services, with Allianz the chosen insurance partner and assistance provider.

Daimler sell car warranty in partnership with Allianz, and part of their 2017 targets required the e-commerce conversions to improve by more than 5%. The website was a pivotal part of improving conversions the platform needed to become more informative, user friendly and improve conversions of returning as well as new customers.

RESQYOU

Roadside assistance is one of Allianz Assistance’s critical lines of business, with the constant development of technology in the automotive industry. Allianz needed to reinvent their offering to ensure the service was an accurate and modern solution to consumer needs.

HSBC

As a client of Allianz, HSBC decided to reinvent their full insurance portfolio, consolidating their nine insurance products into one digital solution, from one insurer partner. Allianz’ response was to create an offering that encompassed the service into a customer centric, gamified solution to protect loved ones in an engaging, simplified.

Opel is a partner of Allianz Automotive in Germany, and together have been creating a car telematics app to launch for Opel owners in 2018, The team at Allianz Automotive reached out to our creative team to review their current app and collaborate on an improved UI and customer journey.

PROJECTS

The extra curricular stuff

I’ve also have projects and creativity ticking over in the background that keep me out of mischief. Most notably is Made You Look, a fresh new four-person collective with expertise in a variety of creative functions - all as a result of our individual enthusiasm for creating sound solutions to everyday problems.

We practice in disciplines ranging from interface design to photography, advertising to augmented reality and everything in-between. We have worked successfully collectively for three years for brands both big and small, across a broad range of industries.

Outside of this, I'm still keeping my personal project - currently going by the name strides that is my approach to a new way of raising money for causes.
